So, here’s a new moon poem for you, selenophiles. Read it and tell me how it is.
The moon weeps every night,
planting poetry inside every soul.
She doesn’t want us to speak
of her beauty and shine.
She wants us to see her tears
and speak of her proud scars,
which are her embellishment.
She says not to wipe them,
for those scars are her identity.
An unornamented moon is never
a thing of beauty and pride.
Accept her scars and flaws.
Embrace her invisible side.
