About Me I am a Quality Analyst by profession and i 'like' my job. The time has passed when I used to wait for my first novel to get published. I've started writing it - first draft seems darn lousy, but please let me add... I'm lovin' it!
Tiana: Sorry for the late follow-up reply,
I've only just now logged back on since my last log in.

Thank you very much! I'm happy that you
liked how I tied in the opening of the letter with the ending of it
(To The Girl That Giggled/The Woman That Still Giggles). I thought
that it would be a nice touch - and, just for background purposes,
it's actually nonfiction, about my own past.
That loss did hurt, too - ha, that's
why, if I could send a letter back in time, I'd warn my past self,
because I have a lot of regrets. I was pretty oblivious as a kid, and
I guess that my family shielded me from the worst of her illness,
too. So I never really, entirely, knew how bad it was, until she was
finally laying on her deathbed.
So, there's my little sob story, the
main origin for the writeup.
I'm really ecstatic that you liked the
story, and, should I write anymore, I hope that you experience a
similar enjoyment. Haha, my shock still hasn't gone away - I just
can't believe that I did well enough to get an award.... less

I hope the girl takes this letter seriously for if she doesn't she'll end up hurting herself for the loss that she is about to have. Would be hard on her.

I don't know if this is fiction, but death can be a life changing moment for a child, esp. if it's one of the parents. Nicely written! :)
Maulik Doshi: Thanks a lot Vaishali :D .. The Gyan was sweet enough ... Rula hi diya pagli :P ... Yes, maybe its an indication, I shall get back to writing :D .. And congratulations for your post too :D
Vaishali Jain commented on Riya's WriteUp: A very well written story, Riya! Beautiful is the word. Such a hopeful, grounded story of love and integrity. Keep writing! :)
