Former Tata Sons chairman and big businessman Cyrus Mistry died in a road accident on Sunday in Palghar, Maharashtra. He attained the age of 54 years. Giving information, a police officer said that the accident took place when Mistry's car collided with a divider in Palghar district, adjoining Mumbai. At that time Mistry was returning from Ahmedabad to Mumbai in a Mercedes car. Palghar district superintendent of police Balasaheb Patil said in his statement, “The accident happened around 3.15 pm. Mistry was on his way from Ahmedabad to Mumbai. The accident took place at Charoti Naka on the bridge over Surya river.”
